The UK implementing regulatioos largely duplicate this page. (Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996)

I think it would be better to merge the parts of the page for the UK regulations that aren't already on this page into this page. Landpin (talk) 16:05, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Oppose - I'd argue that a merger of UK legislation into an European Directive would not be advisable as United Kingdom is no longer part of the EU and it could deviate from the Directive 92/58/EEC in the future.
(Aside, there's an error in your post, as it links back to this article and not the one you're trying to merge with, and is making it slightly unclear exactly what you're proposing to merge.)-- The Navigators (talk) 20:05, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, if and when the time comes that article can be written.
Until then the 2 pages just duplicate each other. Heavily. Landpin (talk) 20:09, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose There is no indication of any duplication at all. There is no indication that these UK regulations, and any UK case law on their interpretation, are still part of EU law, or that they still implement the EU directive or any other part EU law. These UK regulations are not the EU directive, no matter how similar their wording might continue to be. This proposal is like claiming that American laws that have existed since 1776 should be merged into their English origins, as if they were still English laws. In any event, this 18kB mountain of material would be WP:UNDUE in the EU directive article. James500 (talk) 20:48, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
