Merge proposal
[edit]There's historyical continuity between this organization at Haight Ashbury Free Clinic; therefore, as it was essentially a 'rename', I suggest that these should be discussed in one place, with a merge to the modern name. Klbrain (talk) 11:13, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose — I'm the creator of this page and I wrote 70% of Haight Ashbury Free Clinic. I'd like to provide the rational for two seperate pages. The two topics are quite distinict. Haight Ashbury is a historical curiosity of strong interest to those researching counterculture, free clinics, and a number of other topics from a historical lens. Healthright360 is a modern organization operating in a much larger area with a much larger budget doing much more things. At one point, it is my understanding that Haight Ashbury operated a few clinics. The article used to be titled 'Haight Ashbury Free Clinics.' I proposed a rename to remove that s because I thought that article shound focus on just one clinic, and HealthRIGHT 360 should cover all of the clinics. Both articles vault over the notability criteria, and you can spend a great deal of time researching one without researching the other (there is a lot of room to expand HealthRIGHT 360). With all this said, just as Googleplex and Google are two seperate articles, the existence of HealthRIGHT 360 does not make Haight Ashbury any less of a historical and cultural curiosity. Thank you for this proposal, I'm happy for the opportunity to provide my rationale for making this page.
