Re: A writing journal kept by Jack Kerouac in preparation for writing On the Road

According to the article, the Harry Ransom Center possess "a writing journal kept by Jack Kerouac in preparation for writing On the Road". According to On the Road#Origins, "in the spring of 2008 [the original manuscript] visited the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center". ie. the Harry Ransom does not at all own the original manuscript - is that what this article is referring to when it refers to the "writing journal" or is it referring to something else?
