Unhelpful Edits to Article

When I last viewed this several years ago, it was a much better article. It seems that a great deal of information (particularly regarding the CCP's relationship with the term) has been removed for what may be dishonest reasons. If anyone is interested I recommend checking earlier versions of this article. When I have more time, I will try to clean it up. HaileJones (talk) 09:37, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ideological Low Quality Edits

Many of these edits on the article have made it lower quality than it was before. Certain editors seem to have a specific ideological slant that are making edits that are unsubstantiated with secondary sources. Indigenous Taiwanese and relationship to Han colonialism on Taiwan

A topic that should be included is the relationship between han chauvinism and the colonization and treatment of indigenous peoples on Taiwan island. Any help would be much appreciated in writing this, though I will get to this soon. Skerbs (talk) 13:33, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Little Pink

I removed the sentence about the Little Pink because it was seemingly tied together using only one piece written by J. Michael Cole, who barely mentions it with Han-centrism and Xi Jinping. From what I have read [1] [2] it is primarily nationalistic. Vacosea (talk) 19:10, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

However, source is referred to as Han-centric superstate: Jingoism is now rampant on the Internet, with "little pink" armies assailing not only critics of Chinese behaviour abroad, but anyone within China who fails to remain within the acceptable bounds of the Han-centric superstate. Even translating 大漢族主義 as Han chauvinism in the first place is not a literal translation; it's Great Han-ethnic-ism; there is no reason to distinguish between Han-centric superstate and 大漢族主義. This appears to be a passing mention that does not directly call the Little Pink Han chauvinists, even if he argues that they criticize others based on the somewhat vague criteria of failing to "remain within the acceptable bounds" of the Han-centric superstate.
