Added history of the pineapple category due to food historian Ivan Day and his work highlighting the role of The Pot and the Pineapple, and even Gunter's much later, in popularizing the pineapple sorbet trend, which he says lasted from 1757 to the 1950s at Gunter's, which is quite remarkable.
