The most recent edit turned what was already a puff piece into a Cardone-fest sourced by Cardone's websites and affiliated-websites, and violating WP:SELFPUB. These include:

At least 3 citations point to Forbes contributors, which are considered "generally unreliable" per WP:RSP:

The entire "Legal issues" section was removed along with all its sources:

The entire effort constructed an article based almost entirely on self-published sources, and violates WP:PROMOTION.

How close?

@Horse Eye's Back: How close do you think this article is to qualifying for mainspace? You added some really good sources. It is difficult finding sources on this person because he's so prolific online that for every 100 search results, 99 of them are things he wrote himself.   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 07:53, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh its well over the bar... I actually think that it was qualified last time but @Bonadea: rejected it to spite the COI editors, "but no reliable independent secondary sources discussing Cardone in any depth" was completely false and I assume Bonadea is competent so we're talking spite or something like that (I'm alwaus down to spite promotional COI editors, but in general I think that the best way to do that is to give them exactly what they want... Put the article in mainspace and watch it shift to NPOV which is not favorable to the person who wanted the page made). I agree that finding sources has been difficult, Cardone appears to be very into search engine optimization and as you mentioned has flooded the zone in an attempt to drown out the largely negative reliable sources. Cool. I wish we had more information about his other companies. For example, I can imagine that his "Cardone Training Technologies" is actually a licensed member for World Institute of Scientology Enterprises, selling their courses, but I cannot find any source for that due to the aforementioned glut of junk he spews all over the internet.   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 00:05, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Horse Eye's Back. Always helpful to read other biographies on Wikipedia to get additional reference and Teahouse resource is very good and live editors can give more feedback. I would consider reframing or alternative quotes under legal issues as a potential suggestion Trex32 (talk) 16:32, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The best piece of advice I have received from @UtherSRG is "What do I want to say about the subject?" and change your thinking to "What would others want to know? What have others said?" is really helpful Trex32 (talk) 16:33, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Also you're being a little bit pedantic for someone with three article creations talking to someone north of 200 article creations, pointing me to the teahouse instead of substantiating your comment is disrespectful. Notability

I have received "backlash" for declining this draft and if I am given the opportunity, I would do it again after much thoughts. We [AFC reviewers] always and much often as possible try to welcome new drafts to articlespace, however, I would rather say that this one clearly would be deleted should it be nomm'ed at AFD.

My observations:
1. There are many good sources roughly involving this individual and we have so many celebrities with such but doesn't have a wikipedia page. And yes, because they are yet to meet WP:GNG.
2. Grant has appeared in many sources but there isn't one that details very indepth, especially his career. How is even a financial influencer a notable person? No awards? No company so notable as him - at least we often sew CEO with notable companies and we would later redirect the CEO page to the company's own.

@SafariScribe: Based on those observations you clearly lack the competence to be making these sorts of calls... There is almost no chance that this wouldn't survive AfD... Because GNG is in fact met... We have multiple sources which contain in-depth coverage... Try these three although theres more than that [1][2][3]. I have listed the sources in the draft article. @Horse Eye's Back, I would advise you to follow Wikipedia and her editors, as you, quietly. There could always be dispute but proper maturity would easily save someone from wrecking havoc. Please take it easy, and things would be easily sorted. I am always careful here and I try as much aa possible to avoid mistakes, but as a human, even if i do, and always, I would accept any good advice; in a case of AFC stuff, I would accept or decline again as the case may be. If you feel that because your draft wasn't accepted, that SafariScribe's NPP rights should be revoked, then suggest it to the global community, maybe at WT:AFC or WT:NPP and present a strong evidence, if accepted, I would back off from AFC/NPP and focus on other tasks; then I know that I am not serving any better for the community in that sector. @SafariScribe I agree HEB should not have threatened removal of your NPP perm but you requested WP:THREE and HEB did oblige so you should respond as to why those sources do not meet the notability criteria. I have not done an assessment because I am relying on yours so assuming you are correct but you need to explain so everyone understands (other reviewers, HEB. etc.) your position and why. Call me an ass for giving my two cents but you both are experienced editors who are great contributors to the project. Just stop the bickering already. As far as notability, I am caught between looking closer at the sources and completely not caring because of the past bludgeoning of this into the mainspace. @Horse Eye's Back:, I think I get the gist of the question but forgive me if I respond in a way that seems I don't. Basically, there is no policy. I do not know of a policy that exists saying there needs to be consensus to create a page. There needs to be consensus to delete one. There are also avenues to delete recreations of deleted pages, but approving a draft from AfC is done by a single editor, not a community voting to do so. The issue here is the title title is protected. If you both supported unprotection, it could then be moved by you since you think its notable, and then anyone disagreeing could take to AfD (or not). I would be interested to write this article in an event that the editors decide not to approve them.

@Polygnotus: No, because the Miami New Times article you suggested does not WP:VERIFY the content in this wiki article that the other source does provide. There are plenty of not-so-reliable sources used as citations, here, that could be swapped with something else. Keep in mind that the subject person is very heavy on marketing himself, and is all over the internet in such volumes as to drown out other reliable sources. Even the GOSS Magazine article I used, I'm pretty sure that's a company Elena Cardone is herself part of... making it a primary source. You really have to dig to see if a lot of these sources are press releases in disguise, or bios that were provided by the subject himself, or things scraped off the internet or compiled from other writings on the internet (like the Naija News source).   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 19:23, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
