Development in District 4
[edit]I edited the post to remove the quote Despite these measures, Mar has not introduced any meaningful alternatives to Weiner's bill. District 4, which Mar represents, has not had any meaningful housing development in the past decades.
There was no citation given, and I think there has been quite a bit of development, e.g. the Westerly (https://www.thewesterlysf.com/) and a recent addition of 130 houses for educators (https://sfmohcd.org/francis-scott-key-annex), not to mention many many ADUs.
I replaced this text with a citation to his YIMBY endorsement questionnaire (https://yimbyaction.org/questionnaire/gordon-mar/) which I think gives the best reference of his views that I can find.
Full disclosure - I live in district 4, which I think allowed me to see this shortcoming but also opens me up to possible bias, so if others can chime in with references or review, I'd appreciate it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evolvedmicrobe (talk • contribs) 07:51, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Climate change
[edit]I have reverted the complete climate change section of legislation as it has been the subject of edit warring. I believe there may be a lot of factual truth in the comments added by a couple of IP users, but it is utterly essential that these comments are backed up by reliable secondary sources (i.e. newspaper articles or similar). I do not appreciate the removal of citation-needed tags. Where potentially controversial statements appear unreferenced, it's perfectly reasonable and correct to point out that citations are needed. The text also needs to be vaguely encyclopaedic in tone, and not an obvious campaign against this guy's politics. We need to make a good stab at maintaining a neutral point of view.
It might be more appropriate to discuss the issue here, and agree on some text, rather than writing/reverting and re-writing. Otherwise the chances are the page will get semi-protected and then there will be no input from IP editors at all. Elemimele (talk) 23:14, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
