Name

[edit]

Why is the surname incorrect? Should be Georgia Ball according to her own social media 2A00:23C6:98A2:601:A1F7:E385:7C63:824C (talk) 09:17, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seven Titles or Eight???

[edit]

The infobox says she has won 8 professional titles and these are 1)Generali de Strasbourg 2)Victorian Open 3)British Open 4) Cambia Portland 5)Rose Open 6)Rose Open 7) Saudi Ladies. What is the eighth?

Her infobox says 2 Euro Tour wins, 2 LPGA Tour wins, 1 APGA win and 3 others, but her British Open win seems to be included in both her Euro wins and LPGA wins as that tournament forms part of both Tours, therefore is it being counted twice in the eight? Thanks for any help. Canary757 (talk) 06:17, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected to 7 total. Tewapack (talk) 17:02, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thankyou for taking the time to review this page.Canary757 (talk) 14:06, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Canary757: Here is my review. I only have a couple of comments/questions in the bullet points below for you to address. -Riley1012 (talk) 20:23, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi thanks again for your time. I've made a start and will finish tomorrow. I'll let you know when I'm done. Kind regards. Canary757 (talk) 12:25, 23 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I've swapped affect to effect, removed tough start, and adjusted the puncuation. With regards to the verifiability in the team appearances section, basically if they were mentioned and therefore referenced in the prose I didn't reference them a second time in the list, but I did reference some smaller events which weren't included in the prose. However, to avoid confusion, I have added named references for all of them now.Canary757 (talk) 08:42, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, makes sense to me. I will pass this article. -Riley1012 (talk) 23:13, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Note: this represents where the article stands relative to the Good Article criteria. Criteria marked are unassessed

1. Well-written
I went through and added some commas where they were needed.

  • At the tournament, Hall missed the cut by ten-strokes at Lancaster Country Club. Pennsylvania, after shooting fourteen-over-par. Should be a comma instead of a period after Lancaster Country Club
  • After she began playing on the LPGA Tour, Hall initially found it difficult adjusting her game in the United States, and after a tough start she asked former golf professionals Ken Brown and Tom Lehman for advice. I would take out the phrase "tough start" unless you can specifically describe what was "tough" about it.
  • Hall declined the opportunity to compete for Great Britain at the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2021, citing concerns about her "exhausting schedule" and the affect it would have on her preparation for upcoming events. Should be "effect".
  • The Personal life section places punctuation marks after the quotation marks, which is customary in British English, but this is not consistent with the rest of the article.

2. Verifiable
The article uses reliable sources. Earwig's does not show obvious copyright violations. Spot check: 2, 16, 20, 42, 59, 68, 84, 92 - all support the information and are not plagiarized.

  • Is there a reason there is not a citation for every bullet in the Team appearances section?

3. Broad
The article addressed the major aspects of her life and career without unnecessary details.

4. Neutral
The article is neutral in its tone and properly attributes opinions.

5. Stable
I looked through the talk page and edit history to verify there are no ongoing content disputes.

6. Illustrated
The one image used is tagged with its copyright status, is relevant, and has a suitable caption.
