I noticed that there was no wikipedia page for Gavin. It looks like one *had* been created back in 2017 or so, but was deleted for not meeting the notability criteria at that point (he had just one book newly published). That book has gone on to win awards and to critical acclaim in the field, and he has since published significantly more work and received more awards, thus introducing this page back. Feel free to push back if you disagree...SoundingCharacters (talk) 21:47, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely support this. There are many reviews of his first book, Kwaito's Promise, and his edited collection, Remapping Sound Studies, has reviews in multiple languages. Several of Steingo's articles have been reprinted in anthologies as well. Sorinamu (talk) 16:41, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely agree! Gavin Steingo has published multiple books and received several awards and internationally renowned fellowships. His work is known widely in the field. A wikipedia page about him is more than appropriate at this stage in his career. Furthermore, this profile is well-written and does not have any inaccuracies that I can see 130.184.252.74 (talk) 17:22, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
