Good Afternoon America
[edit]As the previous iteration of the program, shouldn’t it be acknowledged somewhere in the article?--Sarcathmo17 (talk) 01:58, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Combination to GMA
[edit]Should we combine this with a separate paragraph to GMA like we currently do for Today (since to me this is too similar program) Hoopstercat (talk) 22:12, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
Requested move 15 July 2025
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Clear consensus to move, some consensus for GMA: The Third Hour and no real objection, as well as the page using that name in the intro for a while and nobody objecting. (closed by non-admin page mover) Ivey (talk - contribs) 13:29, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
GMA3: What You Need to Know → GMA3 – WP:COMMONNAME, the subtitle "What You Need to Know" is rarely use by ABC nowadays. Given the recent rebrand in June last month, it will be the opportunity to discuss such page move. Many sources already refer the third hour of Good Morning America as simply GMA3 even before rebranding such as Soap Media Network,Variety, Adweek, Newscaststudio, CNN, and many more. 103.111.102.118 (talk) 05:49, 15 July 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Support: Absolutely, per MOS:TAGLINE and WP:CONCISE. The slogan is obnoxious marketing puffery. — BarrelProof (talk) 11:16, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose: They're not even using the name anymore. Right now it's listed in my EPG as simply GMA: The Third Hour. ViperSnake151 Talk 19:06, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support alternative name per ViperSnake151's suggestion, assuming that EPG listing of TV program is right. If we follow how ABC News announcer tell the program, i weakly support the move as "GMA3" as well. Nevertheless, the slogan "What You Need to Know" is now rarely or no longer heard at the program's announcement. 120.188.5.159 (talk) 21:18, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

- Support as GMA: The Third Hour per ViperSnake151's proposal and the official website and Fubo, because GMA website officially confirm the official name for third hour. Regardless of it, the word "What You Need to Know" no longer appeared as the name or slogan of the program. 2404:8000:1037:587:DC55:6E77:B86F:6948 (talk) 10:31, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support renaming, but unsure to what. ABC.com and Hulu call it GMA3 with the tagline "the third hour of GMA". Even the July 25, 2025 Disney press release still calls it GMA3. The "What You Need to Know" definitely has to go though. Limmidy (talk) 01:41, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support rename / dropping tag line but mixed between simply GMA3 and GMA: The third hour. Either seem to be a more appropriate title. TiggerJay (talk) 05:00, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
