Location
[edit]Does anybody know why the nuclear site called Fordo is not related at all to the village with the same name some 75 km linear distance apart? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fahad24 (talk • contribs) 06:50, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
- Why should they be related? Same deal as multiple places being called "Springfield" or "Newport", normally those aren't related either.
- Iran is a country of 90 million people. It makes no sense to assume that a backwater of less than 1,000 people should be important enough to give its name to a location 100 km away when there's multiple other inhabited locations between those two points, including the city of Qom with a population of more than 1 million. This is easy to verify on google maps. The two locations are even in different provinces. 80.62.29.4 (talk) 17:14, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
