[edit]Is it actually Flex Box (as a proper noun)? Should it be flex box? Or is the article using something different from the normal sentence casing (per WP:STYLE?)? --Mortense (talk) 18:06, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
"Flex box", "flex box", "Flexbox", or "flexbox"?
[edit]Seen: "Flex box", "flex box", "Flexbox", and "flexbox".
What should it be? --Mortense (talk) 11:18, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
- There are two possible options:
- - Flexible Box Layout Module, as in the W3C documentation.
- - Flexbox, as in most publications, such as: Rachel Andrews (A Book Apart, 2017), Estelle Weyl (O'Reilly Media, 2017). Manuel Schmalstieg (talk) 20:00, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose Most of the sources do not call it that. No proof whatsoever. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 08:04, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- A Google Scholar search for "Flexbox" yields 2,930 results [1] whereas "Flexible Box Layout" [2] returns only 300, indicating an overwhelming preference for the former name in reliable sources. 133.106.202.159 (talk) 11:07, 9 June 2025 (UTC)

- Support. Flexbox is the common name, as seen in the widely-used reference [3], in Rachel Andrew, The New CSS Layout (2017), [4], and in 133.106.202.159's comment above. Adumbrativus (talk) 06:37, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
