Using '&' instead of 'and' is unencyclopedic. The article needs the cred that 'and' can give. ;) Julia Rossi (talk) 06:15, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Biography isn't showing up

[edit]

7&6=thirteen () 18:18, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I got it to show up, but it is outside of the collapsed multi project banner. 7&6=thirteen ()
I've moved it into the banner shell. Huon (talk) 18:38, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Huon (talk Thanks for your attempt to help. I had done that, too. And now it's gone (disappeared). That is why I put it outside the banner shell. Any other ideas? 7&6=thirteen () 20:06, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's the topmost banner within the banner shell. I have added the {{BLP}} tag separately now, maybe that's what you meant? Huon (talk) 20:15, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I had done that as a work around. That is what I meant. Thanks. 7&6=thirteen () 20:32, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Eugena Washington

[edit]

She must be at a pretty low-point in her life when she's apparently the one who wrote her entire article for herself. Lots of credits for unimportant events and references to things that barely even exist in a Google search. I vote for this article to be DELETED. And please, someone get her some money. 2607:FEA8:87C0:C80:F439:A287:7D19:A1C6 (talk) 13:26, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Zacgilmore21, hello, responding to your message at my talkpage. The goal of a WP-article about Eugena Washington is to summarize independent reliable sources, WP:RS, about Eugena Washington, with citations. Not adding everything you know she did, this is not supposed to be a CV, or to "sell" her, that's what her own websites are for. As you can see, @Roxy the dog reverted your latest addition [1].

If you want to add content to a WP-article that can "stick", you need to understand what counts as WP:RS around here and how to cite them, WP:TUTORIAL can help with that. See also WP:BLP since you're writing about a living person. Some of the stuff you added, Like Playboy and McD was in the article already. Maybe some more of this stuff is mentioned in for example the Fox News article or other sources already used, if so, you can use them again. WP:PUFFERY like "Washington immediately became a leader in the fashion industry" will be removed unless you can cite a really good source that actually said that, something like "In 2007, Vogue called her a leader in the fashion industry." is not unthinkable if you can cite it, but it's up to you to find the reliable sources for any content you add on WP.

Also, if WP:COI applies to you, follow the guidance there. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 04:32, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
