Interactive map is wrong

It looks like the geospatial data has been sourced from the ABS.

The ABS should not be relied on for maps of electoral boundaries.

The reason is that the ABS aligns all boundaries to mesh blocks. AEC redistribution committees have no such obligation. Wherever electoral boundaries split a meshblock, they will not be accurately reflected by ABS geospatial data.

This noticeably affects the interactive maps of many electoral divisions, but is especially pronounced here. Meowxr (talk) 08:29, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
