Questioning Reversion

[edit]

@Stranger43286: Could you please explain why you reverted the edit I made on Feb. 14th? You provided no reasoning in edit notes. I provided a wealth of sources showing that the chat has been around for far longer than the current revision suggests, as well as adding additional info on DeepSeek's model history and the recent database breach, which has been reported on multiple common news outlets. The chatbot was officially released in January, it's don't matter that the DeepSeek was creating and testing this chatbot since 2023. Models are already described in the company's article. But you're free to add additional info on the recent database breach. RealStranger43286 (talk) 01:36, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like this is more a semantics issue than anything. If you count the chat website itself as hosting a chatbot (it did use specifically 'chat' models), then I still think my edit is correct. ChatGPT did not have a mobile app when it was launched and still the web launch is its release date, so why not the same with DeepSeek? MN 7216 (talk) 22:53, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
