Talk:Dava wildfire

Some unsourced notes:

I was in the area when this occured. I have heard numerous times that this was caused alledgely by a group of campers beside Loch Allan, but i have omitted this from the article due to no sources covering this.

I cannot find any good sources at all regarding the firefighting tactics, but i can find a video of helicopters using water buckets on lochs around the area of the fire, aswell as the Strathspey Railway being seen beside the fire. But as no sources cover this... i have also omitted this.

The wildfire grew to atleast 9 square miles at its peak(?), and potetionally higher - but again, no sources cover this.. so it has also been omitted! (Wouldnt this also make it the largest wildfire in UK history, beating the Cannich wildfire? - if sources pop up i will look into this)

I have also seen photos of the wildfire approaching a wind field. I do not know where that is, but again... as there are no (known) sources covering this... it has also been ommitted.

If anyone more skilled than me can assist in this article, it'd be great. Sources won't be easy at the minute as despite this wildfire being as large as it did... noone has documented it properly. Unbreakify (talk) 08:49, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
