Pronouns
[edit]Just as a note should this come up again: At one point the article used they/them as Dunham's pronouns per MOS:ID/Wikipedia:Gender identity. Looking for sources, according to this interview with her sister in The Advocate, as of 2016, Grace Dunham has gone back to using she/her, so the current usage is correct. Grayfell (talk) 07:58, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- An IP changed these recently so I checked to see if anything had changed, and while I didn't spot any evidence that Dunham had changed pronouns, I do notice that this 2017 Teen Vogue piece and this 2018 Cut piece use "Cyrus" instead of "Grace" for Lena's sibling (and confirms they use they/them pronouns). Someone may want to look into whether the name should be changed, and also whether e.g. the Lena Dunham article's reference to this person as a sister should be changed to sibling. -sche (talk) 22:20, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
The article now mostly uses he with one they. I was about to make the one they consistent with the hes, except that the most recent sources I can find (July 2021) only use they. An out-of-date 2019 source for he pronouns was removed along with much other content in diff. The article could do to have a more recent source. -sche (talk) 22:10, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Cyrus Grace Dunham → Cyrus Dunham – Unclear why the subject's middle name should be in the article title. It should be simplified to their first and last name, especially since most reliable sources I can find refer to them as Cyrus Dunham, not their full name. WP:COMMONNAME, WP:CONCISE. JeffSpaceman (talk) 16:26, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- Comment I think it is better this article is moved to Cyrus Dunham (writer) or Cyrus Dunham (actor) since it is not clear they are the primary topic.
- Rafts of Calm (talk) 20:30, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- Actually, I agree with that. I think Cyrus Dunham (writer) would be best, given that it's their top billing in the article. JeffSpaceman (talk) 12:49, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
- Is there any evidence that this is their current usage, consistent with WP:SPNC (or MOS:DEADNAME, if applicable)? I did a quick search online and many sources do use their middle name, which they (previously?) published under. They don't appear to have a social media presence. --MYCETEAE 🍄🟫—talk 21:02, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
