Highest winds recorded
[edit]Zelia recorded a maximum wind gust of 120km on land in Port Hedland at 2.51pm. This should be noted in the article. 159.207.248.8 (talk) 00:23, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
Damage
[edit]We should put in Cyclone Zelia's damage here soon. It has been missing for nearly a month. HurricanesAreInteresting (talk) 14:59, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- I found that on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that Zelia's damage estimates were 1.2 billion. Here's the link - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02-17/tropical-cyclone-zelia-economic-impact-damage-assessment/104943126 HurricanesAreInteresting (talk) 00:39, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
Meteorological history is wrong.
[edit]The meteorological history needs to be rewritten as it is not including anything related to JTWC. The eyewall replacement cycle never completed. Also, peak intensity was 13/0000Z as the satellite image says. And the intensification should be 'explosive deepening' and should mention the 155 knots forecast peak intensity at one point from JTWC. Mr Hurricanes (talk) 09:35, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
- The meteorological history is so trollifying and messy. It MUST be corrected to JTWC for accuracy. BOM had constraints Mr Hurricanes (talk) 16:54, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Mr Hurricanes: There are two things to remember here 1) We are all volunteers 2) The JTWC is the unofficial agency in this basin while the BoM is one of three which are official, so their information takes precedence over the JTWC. That isn't to say that some info from the JTWC can't be included but it has to be balanced.Jason Rees (talk) 17:19, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- For the meteorological history, please use JTWC data and add the 'explosive deepening' and 155 knot forecasted peak by JTWC to it to correct. Mr Hurricanes (talk) 04:12, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
- Feel free to boldly edit the page instead of asking on the talk page. If you're interested in rewriting the page, make sure to balance the information from both the BoM and the JTWC. e.g Meteorological history of Cyclone Freddy. HurricaneEdgar 15:00, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

The preparations and impact barely have any information
[edit]Cyclone Zelia caused 733 Million dollar damage. I'd reckon it should have its Preparation and Impact updated Owen is the best GG (talk) 07:41, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
