WTF?!
[edit]Can you please write also an article about "criticism" of ISIS? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:6500:A044:4F8F:B157:72A9:4086:746E (talk) 10:27, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- I assume you mean Islamic State. That article has a whole section with several sub-sections devoted to criticism of the organization; it just doesn't use the word in its heading. The reason this is a separate article is that somebody has split this article out of the article about Hamas, due to its size. This article is really a sub-section of the article about Hamas, but is presented as a separate article. It is not a stand-alone article, and needs to be read as part of the main article about Hamas. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 11:12, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- And is that made clear and easily accessible? Snir102 (talk) 21:16, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Follow the link to Islamic State § International reaction. There are several criticism sub-sections, which, I think, makes the commentary easily accessible. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:22, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

No new elections
[edit]The “No new elections” subsection of the “Political freedoms” section is factually correct, but without any attributed critic it reads like WP:OR. Can we add someone who has actually engaged this criticism? Bernie Sanders wrote an op-Ed making this comment, to my memory.
but it should probably also be balanced for WP:DUE as I’d anticipate a counter-argument that places blame at the door of Fatah and the blockade. Yr Enw (talk) 12:12, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
Human shields
[edit]The human shields section largely discusses alleged violations by not taking sufficient precautions, which is distinct from human shielding. This section should be edited to reflect that, probably be split into two sections: something to the effect of "not taking sufficient precautions" and "human shields". DMH43 (talk) 21:20, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
Child Labor
[edit]The information regarding 160 dead kids in tunnels is flat-out false. The 2012 article by Pelham in JPS was talking about deaths in the largely private commercial tunnels to Egypt, which numbered OVERALL at 160. The JPS accidentally added the "children" qualifier at a later stage of editing, and issued a correction afterwards. Tablet Magazine which is cited reported this wrong statistics, and it was repeated by netanyahu. It has no basis in fact and the paragraph should be removed. 95.112.2.1 (talk) 01:31, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
Genocide Allegations
[edit]The ‘Genocide allegations’ section claims that Hamas committed genocide on October 7, 2023, as if it is widely accepted, despite the fact that genocide is a specific legal term requiring intent to destroy a group in whole or in part. While some experts have made this claim, it is a small minority compared to the widespread classification of the attack as a war crime or mass killing. The section lacks proper balancing with counterarguments from legal scholars who dispute the genocide designation.
Additionally, the inclusion of Hamas’ founding charter as alleged evidence of genocide seems to be an attempt to conflate political ideology with direct legal culpability. The subsection risks pushing a political narrative rather than reflecting a balanced, well-sourced discussion. VerdantQuill11 (talk) 05:30, 23 March 2025 (UTC)
