[edit]"Within the institutional complex created to jezequize the regime of Francisco Franco" What ever does "jezequize" mean? Moebeus (talk) 15:59, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
It seems to be a direct "translation" from Spanish. I think the author meant that it would "become part of the hierarchy", in other words, to "institutionalize" it or "establish" it. I propose we change the word to "establish" Denis (talk) 00:46, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Council of the Realm → Council of the Realm (Spain) – No primary topic, disambiguate and then redirect Council of the Realm to the disambiguation page Reichsrat, where it used to point before the Spanish article was created. The Scandinavian riksråd is commonly translated as Council of the Realm. Jähmefyysikko (talk) 03:27, 20 July 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 10:44, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

- "Council of the Realm" should not redirect to "Reichsrat", which nobody would ever search for when looking for the Spanish council. Srnec (talk) 01:25, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- It is also slightly surprizing for someone looking for the Scandinavian councils, and strictly speaking, riksråd is not ambiguous with Reichsrat, except in German literature; it belongs to a See also section on that dab page. We should make a new disambiguation page for the English term at Council of the Realm. Jähmefyysikko (talk) 03:33, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- I made a draft of the dab page at Draft:Council of the Realm (disambiguation). Jähmefyysikko (talk) 09:21, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose as proposed. Reichsrat and Riksråd are not commonly translated (the Austrian article should probably be moved) and certainly not as Council of the Realm. I would support moving Council of the Realm to Consejo del Reino, however. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:51, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
- In Scandinavian context, riksråd and its cognates are not always translated, but "Council of the Realm" is nevertheless a translation used by many high-quality sources. For example, Cambridge History of Scandinavia and other scholarly sources use this translation. For the Spanish council, Consejo del Reino is not a perfect solution, as "Council of the Realm" actually seems to be much more common in English literature, based on these comparative (although somewhat arbitrary) searches: [1] vs [2]. I don't have a strong preference between using an explicitly disambiguated WP:COMMONNAME or the less common WP:NATDAB approach; either would be acceptable to me.
