Corn chips/tortilla chips in Australia and Oceania
[edit]I removed this statement as I could not find support for it. To the contrary, there were many websites in the .au domain referring to tortilla chips.Geoff (talk) 00:00, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Cultural references
[edit]I removed this cultural reference as I am not sure it contributes to the article. But I'm putting it here for other editors to consider whether this (and other) cultural references might enhance the article.Geoff (talk) 00:13, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- "An amusing cultural reference occurs in the animated film Mulan, where Mushu refers to male body odor as 'that corn chip smell.'"

– Consistent with Potato chips and other snacks. Wikipedia:Consistency in article titles is important and probably better than a strict interpretation of Wikipedia:Naming conventions (plurals). The lead of most of these articles begins with the plural term. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 15:23, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
- Strong support. This is an obvious improvement that is more natural and reflect the common name for these foods. Other food examples are French fries, Cheese and crackers, Crudités, Fried mushrooms, Stuffed mushrooms, and Pigs in a blanket. --MYCETEAE 🍄🟫—talk 16:55, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
