I'm not sure that this is a stub, although it could perhaps use more information. There might not be anything more to say about this glacier. Alázhlis (talk) 21:03, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
"Kwénis, which means "whale" immediately struck me as "quanice" the usual Chinook Jargon rendering of the word in that argot for "whale"......I'm not sure of its origins, could be Nooktan/Southern Wakashan but if it's from the Chehalis language, as many CJ words are, could be that the Comox word was similar; but also CJ words are now pervasive in some local languages and not recognized as such; just a note, no bearing on the article.....Skookum1 (talk) 10:04, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
