Merger from City Index Limited

City Index Limited and City Index Group are not notable separately. There are hardly any links as it is and it would make more sense to have one page just called 'City Index' that explains the company structure and subsidiaries rather than use limited and group in article titles. Have merged City Index Limited with City Index Group - most of the content was duplicated on both pages anyway, merged the remaining details such as iphone app and set up redirect on this page. Promotional content

Article notes, May 2025

I've prepared a substantial update to the article that introduces a new structure and corrects numerous factual errors. But I'd like to outline a few points here as well. First, there's no real need for a separate "Brands" section. Many of the mentioned companies (e.g. Finspreads) were acquired and absorbed entirely into City Index, and can be briefly mentioned in the history section. Others, like Forex.com, are not sub-brands of City Index at all — they're parallel entities under the broader StoneX Group structure. Second, the article is somewhat confused in places — for example, the trading apps don't justify multiple sections. Third, the City Index Trading Academy is simply part of the company's marketing strategy, much like its sports sponsorships, and should be described accordingly. A concise and factual approach to these topics would help address the article's current promotional tone. Lastly, the article is entirely missing any critical aspects — and over a long corporate history, there are certainly some worth including. Kahvihenki (talk) 08:41, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the article should be renamed simply to City Index. There's no need for the word Group, as there is no holding structure here — this is not the parent company StoneX Group Inc..
