Update Suggestions

[edit]

Good morning, I am writing to request an evaluation of Charlie MacGregor's Wikipedia entry. For full transparency, I am writing from The Social Hub's communications team. Charlie is our Founder & CEO.

Following are the suggestions of edits to be made:

  • The first line describes him as "developer and operator The Student Hotel". The Student Hotel no longer exists and is now "The Social Hub". Founder & CEO of The Social Hub is his current role. It would be great to reflect this.
  • It would be worth mentioning the establishment of our TSH Talent Foundation, for which we've pledged 1% of The Social Hub's annual revenues to fund it (link). Its mission is to help empower changemakers to overcome barriers to success. Additional information here [1]
  • The description of The Social Hub's hotel footprint is outdated. We currently own and operate 21 hotels across Europe, with 2 more on the way in Turin and Lisbon. More information here: [2].
  • A prime example of urban regeneration projects includes our latest project in Rome, which includes a 10,000 square metre public park. [3]
  • The Company became B Corp certified in 2024, one of the largest hospitality chains to obtain this: [4]
  • Most recently, one of the key social impact projects for the company under The TSH Talent Foundation is the Better Society Academy, which just took place in Glasgow last week which saw the participation of the First Minister of Scotland who commented that "This event is an example of the positive impact B-Corp organisations in Scotland like The Social Hub can bring to cities like Glasgow." link: [5] and [6].
  • The Social Hub under Charlie's leadership was named by the Financial Times as one of the "reinvention champions" in 2024: [7]
  • Also as noted in the Financial Times article, our company is valuated at €2.1B. Private equity funds APG and GIC hold a majority stake in the company (also as noted in the Financial Times article above).
  • Charlie is no longer a Tuscany Business Advisor.

Thank you for your consideration. TSHmktg (talk) 08:07, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
