A jingoist mixup

QUOTE: Marco Polo, who visited Kerala towards the end of the 13th Century. END OF QUOTE.

The correct version would have been: Marco Polo visited Malabar. Does he mention 'Kerala' in his writings? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.97.10.98 (talk) 13:43, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree with you that such statements are jingoistic and chauvinistic in nature. Kpbolumbu (talk) 15:09, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Parts of Present-day Kerala

[edit]

The following remarks are rather chauvinistic instead of being neither of wiki standards nor results of logical thinking. "Note that most of the parts of present-day state of Kerala was under the influence of the Zamorin of Kozhikode." Anyone with the ability to think should understand that the whole of Kasaragod which is a part of present-day Kerala was never under the rule of Zamorin or any other ruler from Calicut. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kpbolumbu (talkcontribs) 15:08, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
