The intro of this page gives “Buddhist monastery” as an equivalent, but the actual redirect of Buddhist monastery points at the related concept of Vihāra. Would it be appropriate to have some sort of link to here from there? Octavo (talk) 05:26, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

On further reading, I think it would be most appropriate to change Buddhist monastery to point here, and let the intro here lead readers onward to Vihāra. Thinking of going ahead and making the change. Octavo (talk) 05:30, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(If I understand correctly, this should link to the redirect page itself? Buddhist monastery) Octavo (talk) 05:33, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Or maybe Buddhist monasticism would be equally appropriate? Octavo (talk) 05:37, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, @2600:1702:623A:4600:1013:EFD4:6B82:739C: This page is just about talking about how to collaborate on this Wikipedia page (Buddhist temple). All Wikipedia talk pages are like that.
Maybe asking on Reddit will be more productive. My POV: around where I live "Christian" is a very broad term and includes Unitarians, who are markedly less "rigid" in marriage and worship. Buddhism is also a very broad term, and some of Buddhists are very "rigid".
So try Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Buddhism/) - read the sidebar and FAQs then, if you have a Reddit account, post a question in their subreddit if you still want to know more. Komonzia (talk) 11:31, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
