[edit]It would be great to have an image, and I'd add an infobox but that's a personal choice. I wonder if this, [1] is out of copyright? KJP1 (talk) 06:17, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- 5 years on, there must be an image that's out of copyright! KJP1 (talk) 16:02, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
bron-y-de 1968 fire
[edit]My grandfather, Ralf Saunders bought the entire estate in the late fifties ,spent millions restoring it, and then sold it to a pop group in whose ownership it caught fire and was destroyed ;I would really like to know who that pop group was, just for the records. 80.44.216.229 (talk) 09:29, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, I've had a look but can't find any references to the estate being owned by a pop star (surely more likely than being collectively owned by a pop group?). That said, it's entirely possible, the Surrey Hills being much favoured by said stars. And there is a long tradition of rock stars owning notable houses, Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant and Jimmy Page being only two examples among many. But we'd need a source that confirmed it before we could put something in. It might be that Wikipedia:Reference desk/Humanities may be able to assist, as they have much more experience of unearthing such matters. KJP1 (talk) 09:27, 7 June 2025 (UTC)
