GorkhaPatra Reliability
[edit]Is GorkhaPatra reliable? My google translate of the source gives: "The song 'Basayau Alakkai', which was released a week ago, has ranked first on YouTube's trending list. This song, sung by folk singer Arjun Sapkota and Shanti Shree Pariyar, is the most liked song on YouTube." Of course this might just be a shit translation but this is an outlandish claim that is almost certainly false. If it was true then it should be in the WP article. I have a similar concern for setopati. Here is the translation "Folk singer Arjun Sapkota's song 'Basayau Alakkai' has been viewed by more than 10 million people on YouTube in a short time. The song reached the crore club less than three months after its release. The song, sung by Arjun and Shantishree Pariyar, has been viewed more than 13 million times so far. The song was at the top of YouTube trends for a long time. It was also trending on Facebook Reels and TikTok." This kind of self contradicting reporting with vague timelines does not make me think it is reliable.Czarking0 (talk) 20:22, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- This song was indeed on trending on Music but only for nepal , you might have confused Nepal for Global or translation should have missed it here is another news that shows which songs were trending on YouTube that week .Gorkhapatra indeed is a reliable newspaper.Setopati however might not be 100% reliable but this news in particular had other supporting reference that why I included this two news .
