Racial slur
[edit]The last line before the References reads: "The University is also known for using racial slurs in courses while teaching student." -- surely this comment (from a disgruntled student?) should be verified through a source or removed.
Merge proposal
[edit]In the interest of full transparency, my username is “Deputy Dean at BPP” so that my affiliation with BPP University is sufficiently clear to all parties.
I propose merging this page, BPP University with BPP Holdings . I think the content in BPP University can be easily explained in the context of BPP Holdings. A merge would not cause any article-size or weighting problems.
I am proposing this merge in good faith and in line with Wikipedia’s community and content guidelines. Deputy Dean at BPP (talk) 15:11, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- This merge has now been completed and content included on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BPP_Holdings Deputy Dean at BPP (talk) 14:42, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
The merge of [[1]] into [[2]] has been completed following consensus from the discussion. The content has been integrated and the original page has been redirected. Deputy Dean at BPP (talk) 14:45, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Note: the merge was reverted and the user has since been blocked due to COI Aloneinthewild (talk) 15:16, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
Explanation for NPOV tag for covid section
[edit]Section has good research, but seems weighted towards student complaints, largely omitting perspectives that would favor the company. I think the text should be reviewed for balance and neutral point of view, plus more reliable sourcing in some cases (Legal Cheek is not an unbiased RS, their home website says they are run by a private law firm). 72.227.129.241 (talk) 02:01, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
Merge law school section
[edit]I would have used the 'merge to' template instead of split, but it doesn't have a way to specify section. Anyways, there is a lot of content on this page duplicating what's on the university subsidiary page. I assume it wasn't summarized when someone performed a split, or it was just copied over wholesale at some point. Should be cut or streamlined somehow, seems more off topic on this page than the law school. 72.227.129.241 (talk) 02:01, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- It's quite normal to have a main university article with sub-articles for separate topics. See King's College London for example. I agree that the text acts as more of a history section currently, which could be improved Aloneinthewild (talk) 15:16, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
Requests in the year 2025
[edit]![]() | Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. |
I have several requests.
- Old Covid title: Could the "COVID-19 and" part of the new "COVID-19 and recent developments (2020-2025)" title in History be removed? Seems like an obvious part of "recent developments" since everyone knows Covid just happened.
- LegalCheek warnings: About all the "better source needed" warnings added earlier this year, if the Legal Cheek articles really are problematic as said above on the BPP talk page, could they just be removed from the page entirely? For the sentences that rely only on LegalCheek footnotes, I looked already for better sources, but the alternatives looked very bloggy. In those cases, should the dependent text be taken out too, for not being newsworthy?
- Apprenticeships: The section on "Students and Programs" doesn't have much detail about the apprenticeships. Could this expansion be added in, with this footnote?
- Text: BPP also provides apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships in the following areas: actuarial / accountancy and tax / financial services / law / data and analytics / digital marketing / cyber security / IT infrastructure and networking / software / business, leadership, and management / human resources / and nursing and healthcare.
- Law school section: Like the "split" warning says, the BPP University Law School section does look extremely duplicative of the law school page. To remove the repeated content and take the warning down, could the section just be deleted from the main BPP page and then stored on the law school's talk page, for editors on that page to reference? (in case some of it is still useful?)

- I've updated the template to the COI tag so it is appropriately categorized. meamemg (talk) 16:12, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
Partly done: I agree about the covid title. Will leave the Legal Cheek request as I haven't looked into the details. As far as apprenticeships go, I was brief given the source provided, but the other source used above may prove a bit better if you're looking to expand on that. For example, it mentions they're one of the largest providers. I have hopefully tackled the merge to the Law School main article successfully: I moved what wasn't there and removed most of what was left, but acknowledge that other one may need quite a bit of work. Feel free to resubmit for other editors to address other points. PK650 (talk) 00:36, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hello User:PK650, thank you! Quick request - in history, there is now a subheading missing for the years 2021 to 2025. Possible to add one in again, just reading "Recent developments (2021-2025)"? Gregoryatbpp (talk) 17:37, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
