Accordin to many sources the name of mountain was changed in 2004. The new name is "Peak of the Great Turkmenbashi" (пик Великого Turkmenbashi)[1]. Aotearoa (talk) 14:06, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

The peak Aýrybaba is located in Turkmenistan, so its spelling in English should reflect its name in the Turkmen language, the only official language of Turkmenistan. The Turkmen name is Aýrybaba, so the title of the article should be either Aýrybaba or Ayrybaba. Please change the article title accordingly.

- The peak is located on the boundary between Uzbekistan and Turkmensitan, thus is not located in Turkmenistan only. The article uses Uzbek name. Aotearoa (talk) 12:51, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
