Why is Dehra Dun linked to West Godavari Region vs the town in Uttarakhand where Arvind Krishna was born? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 8.21.68.241 (talk) 20:42, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
MOS:ETHNICITY states that
The opening paragraph should usually provide context for that which made the person notable. In most modern-day cases, this will be the country, region, or territory where the person is currently a national or permanent resident... Ethnicity, religion, or sexuality should generally not be in the lead unless relevant to the subject's notability. Similarly, neither previous nationalities nor the country of birth should be mentioned in the opening paragraph unless relevant to the subject's notability.
Krishna was born and raised in India, but the activities that made him notable (his graduate studies and working life) were in America. MOS:ETHNICITY is quite clear that "Indian" should not be mentioned in the opening paragraph. Jayjg (talk) 21:14, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
