Richard Valpy

There is consistent Census evidence that his dob was 1849, and the 1871 census makes it clear that his father's name was Richard Valpy (which was also the name of the famous headmaster of Reading Grammar School of the late eighteenth century.Delahays (talk) 11:48, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There were (at least) four generations of Richard Valpys. If Richard I in Jersey is the father of Richard Valpy II the schoolmaster, Arthur Sutton Valpy's father is Richard IV, son of Richard III son of Richard II. Charles Matthews (talk) 09:04, 7 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
