False information about Agop Dilaçar
[edit]@A455bcd9 The first secretary general of the Turkish Language Association (Türk Dil Kurumu) was Ruşen Eşref Ünaydın. This is documented in the 1933 records of the Turkish Language Association. Türk Dili Dergisi 1933 Agop Dilaçar is not listed among the secretaries general of the institution. You can verify this information through the list of secretaries general published in the Association's journal 'Türk Dili'. The claim that the surname 'Atatürk' was coined by Agop Dilaçar is incorrect. In a 1979 interview on TRT, Agop Dilaçar himself stated that the surname 'Atatürk' was proposed by Naim Hazım Onat. TRT The information in Türkiye newspaper used to support this claim lacks sources and contains disinformation. Canuur (talk) 12:15, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- Indeed, he was appointed "Başuzmanlık" by Atatürk (source) and I'll edit accordingly. I'll check the rest. Thanks. a455bcd9 (Antoine) (talk) 12:13, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- It seems that you were also right for Atatürk's name so I removed that. Thanks again. a455bcd9 (Antoine) (talk) 12:19, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
