Mention of common brands
[edit]There are two lines that refer to common American brands. Is this needed? We can't have just one country's brands listed. If we have to list more than two, maybe just those brands that are available in at least say 20-30 countries? -- Rsrikanth05 (talk) 04:55, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, the list should probably be expanded to show at least several more brands from around the globe, and if the list gets long and more can be added about antacid brands in different countries, then subsections for continents or countries should be added. Also, a separate section might need to be made for brands, because I don't really see how brand names relate to society or culture very much. That Tired Tarantula (talk) 06:22, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Brands have different formulas in different countries, too. For example, Gaviscon. 173.222.1.143 (talk) 05:14, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
i was looking for a different page and it redirected here
[edit]I was looking for a page that would get into the mechanism behind Gaviscon, which is an alginate barrier that works differently than, say, Tums. Gaviscon redirects here. I think it should redirect to a page called "physical reflux barrier" or something like that. Or at least it should get its own sub section on this page where this barrier method gets a scientific explanation. 173.222.1.143 (talk) 05:17, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
