  • ... that cyclist Alexandra Yeung raced on the Himalayas with one hand during the final 20 kilometres (12 mi) of a race and placed second?
[Yeung Ka Wah Rediscovers the Joy of Cycling]. Sing Tao Daily (in Chinese). 2002-12-14. p. C6.

From Google Translate: "Experiencing a foreign culture through the competition and regaining a passion and joy for cycling are the extra gains for Hong Kong women's mountain bike representative Yeung Ka Wah after winning the runner-up in the "Himalayan Mountain Climb Cycling Race". The mountain climbing cycling race was held in Nepal for three consecutive days in late last month, around the snow-covered mountains in the capital Kathmandu. As the stage is very challenging, it attracts many top players from Europe to participate. Yeung Ka Wah, who recently completed the Asian Games on behalf of Hong Kong, also accepted the challenge and became the only member of the Hong Kong team to sign up for the competition"

From Google Translate: "During the three-day competition, Yeung Ka Wah competed fiercely with German player Stingga. In the end, she won two second places and one first place respectively, successfully winning the runner-up in the overall score. But the most amazing thing is that Yang Jiahua accidentally shoveled into a muddy pothole on the third day of the race and sprained her left hand. Then, facing the very inclined downhill section, she was still able to endure the pain with one hand to do the work of two hands, and then faced the very inclined downhill section, she was still able to endure the pain with one hand to do the work of two hands, and completed the last 20 kilometers of the race at a speed no slower than usual, which amazed everyone."

  • QPQ is done. Page was 5x'd recently enough and is long enough. WP:EARWIG finds copyvio unlikely. Trusting that the Google translation is accurate, the hooks check out. Both hooks are interesting, I think ALT1 is better because it explains why she used just one hand. This looks good! ArtemisiaGentileschiFan (talk) 16:15, 27 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
