Appearance on "Next Time on Lonny"

[edit]

He was in an episode of the YouTube series "Next Time on Lonny" in 2017. Episode 10 of Season 2. Is that worth putting here?

@Svrdhead, would you care to explain the reason why you think the 2015 image should be used and not the 2023 one? You didn't explain it in your edit summary. Spinixster (chat!) 02:44, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

– Pageview history over the last five years shows that the actor is the primary topic by pageviews per WP:PT1. Over the last five years the actor has received an average monthly viewership of 115,000 views, while all other Adam Scott articles combined received approximately 22,500 (a greater than 5:1 pageview advantage)

Of course, there is a large spike on the pageview graphs recently, which is likely an anomaly due to the current season of Severance. So, if we truncate the pageview stats to exclude the recent spike, the actor still receives significantly more than all other articles combined: 103,000 average monthly pageviews over 5 years, versus 22,500 for all other articles.

The historical viewership trends on the Adam Scott disambiguation page (pageviews) also closely correlate to the viewership trends on the actor's article, indicating it is highly likely that people visiting the disambiguation page intend to click through to the actor. Comment - I nearly made this myself until I realized the points above. For posterity, I will write my original points I made a few weeks ago as a comment, because there are still good points made:
According to Wikinav, the overwhelming amount of people go to this Adam Scott instead of the others.
In 2024, Adam Scott (actor) had around 3,000 views per day, per the article traffic statistics. Adam Scott (golfer) had 800 per day, and Adam Scott (footballer) only had 300 all year. For reference, the disambiguation page only gets about 20 views a day. View all the stats here.
So far into 2025, this page now has 15,000 views per day (compared to less than 1,000 for the others) Notability will likely be more sustained as Scott (actor) gets more acting gigs. A lot of the views are due to the currently popular Severance (TV series), which will continue to air for one more season.
Now, because the golfer is still active, in my opinion, there is no primary topic. In fact, looking up "Adam Scott" gets you recent golfer results. I still think based on my information, a case could be made for it being the primary topic, and I do believe it will be sustained, but there are still genuine arguments against being a primary topic, which take precedent over my opinions and knowledge on primary topics. I can't give an opinion on this, so I will just leave this a comment for others to decide. Chew(VTE) 23:18, 21 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is Scott really best known for "Parks and Recreation" other than "Severnce"?

[edit]

I noticed that the page currently lists Adam Scott's role in Parks and Recreation before his role in Severance. However, considering Severance's more recent popularity and the growing recognition of his performance in that series, I believe it might be more fitting to list Severance first. Many people today might associate him more with that role than with Parks and Recreation. Would it be possible to update the order accordingly? 5.29.117.74 (talk) 06:42, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
