5th Overseas Interarms Regiment5th Overseas Interservice Regimentwikt:interarms doesn't exist in English. wikt:interarmes translates to wikt:interservice. 173.206.40.108 (talk) 04:15, 7 February 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 05:25, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The significance of "interarms" is explained by the second paragraph. Zacwill (talk) 08:46, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. The arms are the different branches of an army (infantry, cavalry, artillery, signals, etc). Most units are only composed of one of these arms (groups of units of more than one arm are known as formations). So an interarms unit is one that comprises elements of two or more arms. They are quite unusual. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:25, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, so it's like a US Combined arms battalion. "Combined arms" makes much more sense to me than this "interarms" non-word. For the rest to match the French, it would be regiment instead of battalion.
Support 5th Overseas Combined Arms Regiment as 1st option. How about this one? And 5eme Regiment Interarmes d'Outre Mer as 2nd option. 173.206.40.108 (talk) 22:36, 14 February 2025 (UTC) 173.206.110.217 (talk) 23:23, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll stick by my previous opinion. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:42, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
