Changing Rookie Box Color

The standard on Wikipedia in the Motorsport class template for rookies is a light blue. I am proposing to implement that color standard here and in all of the Road to Indy championship pages. SteeledDock541 (talk) 15:04, 19 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I do not oppose such a change, however two things are important when thinking about this:

We should use the rookie template already in use in most of the European championships, so rather than using {{Color box|#CEF0FF|'''R'''|border=#CEF0FF}}, which gets us this R , we should stick to {{Motorsport class|Rookie}}, which all the other series use and which produces the same R.
Such a change should be implemented consistently across the American single-seater championships (so IndyCar down to USF Juniors), and I think a consensus for a ladder-wide change will not be found on the USF Pro 2000 page as this article is way too insignificant.

As I said I am open to this, but maybe this discussion should be held on the IndyCar page or at Wikipedia:WikiProject American Open Wheel Racing. Cheers, Hmnphl (talk) 16:07, 19 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Just to clarify, I used {{Color box|#CEF0FF|'''R'''|border=#90D5FF}}, which results in this R , not {{Color box|#CEF0FF|'''R'''|border=#CEF0FF}}, which results in this R . I used that format instead of the {{Motorsport class|Rookie}} because I wanted to add a border to the box to make it easier to see. Although, if you feel that the border is not necessary, then using {{Motorsport class|Rookie}} works.
