Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance for the same reason as why we shouldn't delete the pages for the 1999 Toray Pan Pacific Open, and pretty much every other WTA page, including those ones being created as we speak. This tournament is just below the Grand Slams in terms of pretige, and deleting it is just ridiculous. — Kapitan110295 (talk) 06:41, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, this page is a subpage of the 1999 Swisscom Challenge page, and thus that page indicates the importance of the subject. And I'll think you'll find that this page comfortably passes the Wikipedia tennis rules.
