Stroudwater Burying Ground is a historic cemetery in Portland, Maine, United States. Established in 1727 and located on Westbrook Street, it is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Stroudwater Historic District.[1] It is the burial place of many of the town's early settlers, with the earliest legible headstone dating to 1739.[2]
Notable burials include George Tate, Royal Navy captain, whose former home stands nearby, and temperance worker Lillian M. N. Stevens.[3]
