St. Francis of the Fields Primary School is a Catholic, co-educational, primary school, located in the Bendigo suburb of Strathfieldsaye, Victoria, Australia.[1][2] It is administered by the Victorian Catholic Education Authority, with an enrolment of 625 students and a teaching staff of 53 as of 2024.[3] The school serves students from Prep to Year 6 and was established in 1994.[3][4]
The school is named after St Francis of Assisi who is the school's patron saint, and the school is a working farm, with 28 acres of farmland on the property.[4]
History
[edit]The land for the school was purchased in 1991.[4] In 1993, the school's name was decided by some parents[4] and the school opened in January 1994.[4]
