Shree Chandrashekhar (born on 25 May 1965) is an Indian judge, who is currently serving as the Judge of Rajasthan High Court.[1] He is a former judge of Jharkhand High Court, where he has also served as the Acting Chief Justice.[2]

Early life and career

He was born on 25 May 1965. He did his LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in 1993 and was enrolled as advocate with Delhi State Bar Council on 9 December 1993. He started his practice at Delhi on both Criminal and Civil sides. He practiced for almost 19 years as an advocate in different Courts, there are about 140 reported judgements of Supreme Court in which he appeared as a counsel.

He was appointed as Additional Judge of the Jharkhand High Court at Ranchi on 17 January 2013 and was confirmed as permanent Judge on 27 June 2014. He was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court on 29 December 2023.[3]

He was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court and took oath on 5 July 2024.[4] On 26 May 2025 Supreme Court collegium led by CJI B. R. Gavai recommended his transfer to Bombay High Court.[5]
