The references provided appear to be (mostly) match reports. Two of the references appear to be about the "imminent" appointment of a club manager, while another is about that club, which is one of nine that are "searching" for a new manager? The first reference provided does not appear to work. Even if it did it is from the official website of the organisation this person is supposed to be involved with. There are the customary [[User:Camogie History]] link(s) to the official website(s) of the organisation this person is supposed to be involved with. It is almost as if the article was created to link to the official website. A Wikipedia List of players leads not to a list but to a Wikipedia category for players. In what sense is that link "external"? [[WP:EL]] states in its opening sentence that they are "links to web pages outside Wikipedia". It is a familiar sign of [[User:Camogie History]]'s involvement and, yet again, it turns out they are the creator of the page. A Google search for [https://www.google.com/search?q=Sharon+Gillen her name] returned only 181 results.}} ~~~~ |

Sharon Gillen is a former Camogie player,[1] a Club Championship medalist and one of the stars of the '95 victory when she scored a goal and two as a substitute in their 4-09 to 1-5 win over Toomevara.
Club player
[edit]Her playing career that began in 1990 when she was only 15. She was a member of the 1992 and 1995 Provincial Club Championship winning teams, with the 1995 team going on to win the All Ireland final.[2]
She starred in the 1995 Club Camogie Championship final, a first All Ireland Club title for Rathnure Saint Anne's, despite taking a blow to the head that affected her accuracy and her ability to focus on long periods. Another outstanding performance was in the 1996 County Championship quarter-final.[3] She then retired from playing, saying farewell to camogie shortly, after 2001.[citation needed]
With her club Rathnure Saint Anne's she scored crucial goals in some of the 7 Co. Club Championship wins of 1994-5 and '98-02, 1-2 in the '95 and 1-4 in the '00 wins, another 1-5 in the '94 Co. Final win (on her debut on the big stage), a 2-1 haul in the '99 Co. Final[4] and a 1-9 haul in the '98 Co. Final.[5]
In a game in 2001 she was a sub goalkeeper after an injury when she dropped a ball into her own net and had to pick it out again.[6]
Club manager
[edit]She was set to be ratified as joint manager of Rathnure for the years '05-6,[7] at the time becoming one of only an estimated 19 females managing a senior Camogie club in her province. Local rumours said she was trying to assemble a strong backroom team by going with provincial club winner John O'Neill and former Minor title winner John Murphy as selectors.[8]
She was one of 11 nominees for club manager of the year after guiding Rathnure to back-to-back Co. league and championship titles when they let her begin managing.[9] but she resigned as manager immediately,[10] saying it was too tough.[citation needed]
