Shahzaib Khan (born 5 October 2005) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays as a left-handed opening batter and right-arm off-break bowler. He has represented Pakistan at the Under-19 level.[1][2]
Early life and domestic career
[edit]Shahzaib was born in Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He began playing cricket at a young age and represented several age-group teams including Mansehra Under-19s, Abbottabad Region Under-13s, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Blues Under-16s, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Whites Under-19s.[3]
International youth career
[edit]In April 2023, Shahzaib made headlines by scoring 174 runs in a Youth Test match against Bangladesh Under-19s in Chattogram.[4]
In November 2024, during the Tri-Nation Under-19s Tournament in the UAE, he scored an unbeaten 109 against the United Arab Emirates Under-19s, helping Pakistan win by 10 wickets and earning the Player of the Match award.[5]
He continued his good form during the 2024 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. In a group-stage match against India Under-19s, Shahzaib was named Player of the Match after scoring a match-winning century.[6][7]
In 2024, Shahzaib was included in Pakistan's squad for the ICC Under-19 World Cup.[8]
