The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 is a series of Android-based tablets developed, manufactured and marketed by Samsung Electronics unveiled via press release on September 27, 2024 alongside the Galaxy S24 FE as a successor to the Tab S9 series. The tablets were released on October 3, 2024 with Plus and Ultra models.[1][2][3][4][5] On April 2, 2025, Samsung unveiled Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+ as successors for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. Both tablets were released on the day after the press release announcement, on April 3, 2025.
This iteration of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series does not include a base variant, with there being a Plus (+) and Ultra model, at 12.4 and 14.6 inches, respectively. Furthermore, it is the first iteration of the series to not support 32-bit applications. Devices that were released prior to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series continue to support 32-bit apps.[6]
On April 2, 2025, Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ with notable differences being using Super PLS-based LCD screens of lower resolutions and refresh rate instead of AMOLED, a mid-range Exynos 1580 chipset instead of a high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, two speakers instead of four, a slower USB 2.0 port without DisplayPort support (no external monitor), a different camera setup, and having fingerprint scanner on the power button instead of under the display. Like the higher-end Tab S10 models, it features Google's Circle to Search AI function.
Specifications
[edit]Hardware
[edit]Display
[edit]Galaxy Tab S10+
[edit]The Galaxy Tab S10+ features a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1752 x 2800 pixels. It contains a new antireflective coating which improves visibility in sunny conditions. Other than that, the S10+'s display is the same panel used in the Galaxy Tab S9+.
Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
[edit]The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, the larger of the 2 tablets, features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1848 x 2960 pixels. It contains the same new antireflective coating found on the S10+. Aside from the new coating, this is the same panel used in the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE
[edit]The Galaxy Tab S10 FE features a 10.9 in IPS-based Super PLS LCD display with 90 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1440 x 2503 pixels. It also contains HDR10. Other than that, the S10 FE's panel is an improvement from the display used in the Galaxy Tab S9 FE.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE+
[edit]
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, the larger FE tablet, features a 13.1 inch IPS-based Super PLS LCD display with 90HZ refresh rate and a resolution of 1800 x 2880 pixels. It contains the same features from Tab S10 FE, including the HDR10. Other than that, the S10 FE+'s panel is an improvement from the display used in the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+.
Processor
[edit]The Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, an 8-core chipset with a 4 nm node and an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU. Notably, this is the first instance of Samsung using MediaTek chipsets for their Tab S series of tablets, previously opting for Snapdragon or Exynos chips. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ use the Samsung Exynos 1580 chipset, an 8-core chipset with 4 nm code and an Xclipse 540 GPU, also used by the Galaxy A56.
Cameras
[edit]Rear camera
[edit]The Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra contain a 13 MP wide camera with a 26mm focal length and an f/2.0 aperture. They come with 4K@30fps and 1080p@30fps recording capabilities.
Front camera
[edit]Both tablets come with a 12MP 120° ultrawide camera, while the Tab S10 Ultra includes an additional 12 MP 26mm wide lens.
Software
[edit]The Galaxy S10+ and S10 Ultra comes with One UI 6.1.1, while the S10 FE and FE+ comes with One UI 7.0.
The Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra are upgradable to One UI 7.0.
Due to FE release being delayed to 2025, Samsung promises 8 years of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates to the Tab S10 series (meaning support may end in 2032).[7]
