Samuel Adam Benschoter (born March 17, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Career

Benschoter attended Tecumseh High School in Tecumseh, Michigan, and Michigan State University, where he played college baseball for the Michigan State Spartans.[1] He signed with the Cincinnati Reds as an undrafted free agent in 2021.[2] Benschoter played for the United States national baseball team in the 2024 WBSC Premier12.[3]

On July 1, 2025, the Reds promoted Benschoter to the major leagues.[4]

Personal life

Benschoter's father, Adam, also played professional baseball.[2]
