Samuel Adam Benschoter (born March 17, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Career
[edit]Benschoter attended Tecumseh High School in Tecumseh, Michigan, and Michigan State University, where he played college baseball for the Michigan State Spartans.[1] He signed with the Cincinnati Reds as an undrafted free agent in 2021.[2] Benschoter played for the United States national baseball team in the 2024 WBSC Premier12.[3]
On July 1, 2025, the Reds promoted Benschoter to the major leagues.[4]
Personal life
[edit]Benschoter's father, Adam, also played professional baseball.[2]
