Said El Mala (born 26 August 2006) is a German professional football player who plays as winger for Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln.

Career

El Mala is a youth product of the academies of Borussia Mönchengladbach, TSV Meerbusch and Viktoria Köln. On 19 February 2024, he signed his first professional contract with Viktoria Köln.[2] Two days later he debuted with them in a 3. Liga match against 1. FC Saarbrücken. On 26 June 2024, he signed a contract with 1. FC Köln, but remained at Viktoria Köln on loan for the 2024–25 season.[3] With 32 goals and 13 games, he was named the 2024–25 3. Newcomer of the Season.[4]

International career

Born in Germany, El Mala is of Lebanese descent and holds dual-citizenship.[5] He was called up to the Germany U19s for the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.[6]

Said's brother, Malek El Mala, is also a professional footballer.[3]
