Release
[edit]On 14 June 2025, the NRL announced that the game would launch on 17 July with the game having 'updated visuals' and 'better realism'. [3]8 years after the release of Rugby League Live 4 in 2017, Rugby League 26 was released to mostly negative attention from NRL fans, as players struggled to log in, had play issues and glitches, players took to social media to vent frustration at the company and the studio apologised to fans,[4] with company CEO Ross Symons offering an apology saying that fans "spent good money" and would compensate players. NRLW player Kennedy Cherrington vented frustration saying that the company could have done more and should have consulted with the Rugby League Players Association.[5]
