Rudik Mkrtchyan (Armenian: Ռուդիկ Մկրտչյան, born 4 September 1993) is an Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler who competes in the 55 kg category. He is a two-time European Wrestling Championships bronze medalist and a former World Junior Championships medalist.[1]
Career
[edit]Mkrtchyan won the bronze medal in the men's Greco-Roman 55 kg category at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. He defeated Denis Mihai of Romania in the bronze medal match by technical superiority, 9–1.[2][3]
The year before, he also secured a bronze medal at the 2021 European Wrestling Championships in Warsaw, Poland, competing in the same weight class.
Earlier in his career, Mkrtchyan won a bronze medal at the 2011 World Junior Wrestling Championships in Bucharest, Romania, in the 50 kg weight category.
