The Roman Catholic Diocese of Chulucanas (Latin: Chulucanen(sis)) is a diocese located in the city of Chulucanas in the ecclesiastical province of Piura in Peru.

History

  • 4 March 1964: Established [1] as the Territorial Prelature of Chulucanas
  • 12 December 1988: Promoted as Diocese of Chulucanas

The first Peruvian assignment for Robert Prevost was as chancellor here. In 2024, he led its anniversary celebrations;[2] in May 2025, he was elected as Pope Leo XIV.[3][4]
